What you will learn.
- Plan three cabinet modules as one composition.
- Arrange doors, separators, open bays and custom shelf spacing.
- Apply contrasting finishes, preview the interiors and align the modules.
Read the design before building it.
The finished bookcase combines white cupboards, dark wood display spaces and a tall open shelving tower. Begin with the dimensions and identify the three cabinet modules before entering the layout controls.
Follow the centre cabinet first. Grouped doors, separators and open bays create the mixture of concealed storage and display space.
Use the preview to check the arrangement.
Apply the contrasting finishes and check the interiors in the live preview. Custom shelf spacing helps adapt the open tower to the objects you want to display.
Build the tall left cupboard and the open right tower, then align all three cabinets in SketchUp. The model download lets you inspect the completed arrangement alongside your own attempt.
