Release notes

Customer-visible additions and workflow improvements in the current ML Cabinets release and its two preceding public versions.

  • Current release: 3.2.0
  • Released July 30, 2026

Version 3.2.0 is the current public ML Cabinets release. These notes focus on what customers can create, edit, present, schedule, and prepare; they omit development records and internal implementation detail.

ML Cabinets 3.2.0

Inner Drawers

  • Add one level of sibling Inner Drawers inside eligible left- or right-hinged doors, double-door pairs, and regular drawers.
  • Set each child's height, drawer box, inset front, handle or profile, material, and opening amount.
  • Drag Inner Drawers into the required top-to-bottom order, or set one eligible child to zero height to fill the available remainder.
  • Preserve the hierarchy through New, Edit, Bulk Edit, session, defaults, units, cabinet-library, schedule, and manufacturing-preparation workflows.
  • Coordinate opening and closing so child drawers close before their parent and linked door leaves complete their motion together.
  • Count every logical Inner Drawer once in cabinet schedules.
Visual clearance check required.

Shelves can coexist with Inner Drawers, but automatic collision warnings are not included.

ML Cabinets 3.1.0

More control over shelves and doors

  • Add custom shelf spacing to shelf-bearing openings, with clear-space values that stay fixed while the remaining top space adapts.
  • Create a two-panel Sliding Door with selectable front-track assignment and coordinated preview, naming, schedule, and manufacturing behavior.
  • Create a four-leaf Bi-Fold Door that opens as two connected folding pairs.
  • Create a two-leaf Lift Door that folds and moves upward with coordinated handles and opening limits.

Shared opening system and animation improvements

  • Move rectangular hinged, Double Door, Bi-Fold Door, and Lift Door assemblies onto a shared opening system for consistent availability, configuration, construction, preview, and scheduling.
  • Make Double Door leaves open and close together in the browser preview and SketchUp animation.
  • Improve the Lift Door fold/lift motion and keep bi-fold geometry and opening amounts within supported limits.
  • Extend grain-direction and Style Picker behavior across the newer door assemblies while protecting incompatible corner configurations.

ML Cabinets 3.0.4

Manufacturing preparation

  • Add Prepare for Manufacturing to the toolbar and context menu, including multi-selection confirmation and a completion summary.
  • Bake supported grooved side panels, decorative face panels, and standalone end panels while preserving placement and authored face materials.
  • Add grooved back panels with configurable clearance and live preview updates.
  • Preserve face texture coordinates, remove eligible seams, and improve side/back groove alignment in prepared geometry.

Hardware, packaging, and licensing improvements

  • Add handle rotation controls for doors and drawers.
  • Improve Add to Library validation and feedback.
  • Strengthen customer package validation and cross-platform packaging for Trial, Education, and Full editions.
  • Improve licensing version reporting and the reliability of customer activation workflows.
Scope of manufacturing preparation

The command prepares supported geometry; it does not add hardware holes or machining instructions.
